Mark has more than 28 years experience starting as junior copywriter
with Ogilvy & Mather and moving on to major international agencies
such as Young & Rubicam, Grey, Davidson Pierce, BMP, D'Arcy, George
Patterson (he was Executive Creative Director) spanning Australia,
Hong Kong and London where he spent 14 years. Before joining Leo
Burnett, he was running his own consultancy. He has worked on major
brands including Stolichnya, Findus, Holsten Pils, Smiths, Panasonic
and NSW Tourism.
Tim Castree - Managing Director
Castree, who joined Patts from BBH New York last August, was set to
share the MDs role at the newly merged agency with former Y&R MD
Gavin Larkin but resigned to achieve clarity around leadership.
He was approached by a headhunter about joining Leo Burnett and
decided to take up the offer based on impressions about agency
chairman Nigel Marsh garnered during two client pitches NRMA and
Virgin Super which Patts lost to Burnetts.
Castree told B&T he felt a really strong match with the leadership
team at Leo Burnett and really admires Marshs authenticity. At the
time of the offer he was considering returning to the US his wife is
American or setting up something outside of advertising.
Marsh said he saw a whole host of potential applications locally and
internationally before deciding on Castree.
As well as considering Castree a fantastic cultural fit, Marsh was
impressed with his particular breed of integrity and international
experience garnered at BBH New York.

Awards:
Leo Burnett, after a spectacular turnaround, won NSW Agency of the
Year - CEO Nigel Marsh thanking new MD Tim Castree who he said has
already made a huge impact at the agency.
Many leading Australian agencies failed to fire at AWARD, Leo Burnett
picked up just one pencil, a silver.
My Opinion about the Advertising Agency:
I thought that Leo Burnett had a wonderful site layout using many
aspects of flash, the website is easy to navigate and information is
easily accessible.
Leo Burnett also has a very impressive portfolio of clients and work
which make them a favourable advertising agency.
